The International Organization for Migration and the Canadian Embassy launch a new project in cooperation with the Armed Forces

[Amman, 29ht April, 2024] The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Canadian Embassy in Jordan, in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces- the Arab Army, launched today a new project that aims at enabling the work and contribution of female soldiers within the King Abdullah II Royal Special Operational Forces group.

The project supports the efforts of the King Abdullah II Royal Special Forces Group to integrate female soldiers into various professions, by constructing a building tailored to meet the specific needs of female officers and soldiers and provide a supportive environment, fostering greater female participation within the Jordanian Special Forces.

“This supportive environment will foster further female engagement within the Jordanian special forces,” said H.E. Mrs. Tajma Kurt, Chief of Mission, IOM Jordan. She expressed her deep gratitude to the Government of Canada for the continuous and generous support for these critical efforts to strengthen women, peace and security programs, as well as to the Jordan Armed Forces for their commitment, partnership and close cooperation with IOM.
