Project Title: Upgrading Karamah Border Crossing Point: Improved Access to Economic Development and Enhanced Stability
Project Summary: To support the Government of Jordan towards the implementation of an integrated border management approach, with funding from the EU Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace, IOM and UNODC are collaborating to upgrade Karamah, the only official border crossing point (BCP) between Jordan and Iraq. The improvement of the infrastructure and procedures in the BCP will increase the commercial and passenger traffic between the two countries and have a positive impact on the economy in the region.
